Attendant Care
Doing things for people that they are unable to do for themselves.
This includes help with shopping, meal preparation, bathing, dressing and transfers. If member is 18 or older, parents may be paid to provide this service.
Habilitation
Teaching new skills.
Goals are always individualized and may address areas such as self-help skills, communicaion and solical skills. Family members may provide habilitation to their adult children.
Respite
Giving parents a break!
Parents cannot do without respite. They are the ones who need a break. Other relatives, including adult siblings, grandparents, family and friends may provide respite care.
