The Learning Center
The Learning Center (TLC) is a qualified vendor for DDD and provides center based programs such as Day Treatment Adult (DTA) and employment services for members with disabilities 16 years and older.
Members enjoy a full day of learning and social activities at our home-like facility in Chino Valley in addition to exploring their community on regularly scheduled outings and employment opportunities. (transportation is available)
Program
Our program focuses on increasing functional daily living skills. Each day we emphasize the importance of personal hygiene, housekeeping, budget and financial growth, meal planning, preparation and grocery shopping.
Utilizing curriculum based instruction, our trained staff will facilitate opportunities to enrich lives, promote independence and encourage growth.
TLC’s employment, Individual Supported Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation Services as well as job development and placement.
TLC is also contracted statewide to provide in-home services to members of all ages. Services include Attendant Care, Respite, and Habilitation.

Why TLC?
Working in special education for over 20 years and having my own child with special needs I know what if feels to have dreams shattered.
The hope of what we as parents envision our children to become when they grow up is clouded by a medical diagnosis. Tests and assessments determine how our children are looked at and what their future holds. That prognosis wasn’t acceptable to me.
As a mom, I saw the potential and I wanted more for my son and the many more like him.
The Learning Center became my answer. I wanted to create a place where individuals’ strengths get utilized and their talents are built on. A place families can count on for support. Somewhere they can rely on to provide a home like setting for their loved ones to come and learn. A place for them to grow and achieve. A place where dreams happen. TLC...
